Why we built SEOptimate
For years, we paid an SEO agency hundreds of euros per month. The blogs covered beers, breweries and beer styles that did not even exist, written for made-up keywords with literally zero search volume.
It started with our own webshop, Geheim Biertje. We paid an agency to get found, but the copy we got back was full of mistakes. When we checked the keywords, it truly sank in: some were made up. Beers that did not exist, breweries nobody had heard of, keywords nobody had ever searched for. Every month we were paying for content that by definition could never bring in a visitor.
So we figured it out ourselves: real keyword data, copy with a purpose, and measuring what happened every week. Within 90 days, GeheimBiertje.nl pulled 4,000 clicks from Google, without an agency. That approach turned out to be a method rather than luck, and that method fit into software.
That's why we built SEOptimate: a platform that brings keyword research, content, and publishing together in a process that is measurable, understandable, and scalable. SEO the way we wished it existed when we started our webshop.

What is SEOptimate?
SEOptimate is an AI SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) platform, founded in 2024 by Koen Pijnenburg in Haaren, the Netherlands. The platform automates keyword research, content creation and publishing for websites and online stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Lightspeed and WordPress, and tracks how visible your brand is in AI search engines such as Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
SEOptimate is the trade name of Everevolve B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 94426465. The platform is available in Dutch and English and is used by more than 80 businesses.
Not to be confused with: SEOptimer (a website audit tool from a different company) or OptiMate (a battery charger brand). SEOptimate is an independent Dutch software product and has no relationship with either brand.
